Big D and the Kids Table, Massachusetts’ sensational ska punk artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Brighton Music Hall!
Big D and the Kids Table was formed in 1995 at Boston’s Berklee College of Music by David McWane (vocals, melodica, guitar), Dan Stoppelman (trumpet), Chris Bush (tenor saxophone), Gabe Feenberg (trombone), Marc 'The Skipper' Flynn (vocals, trumpet, valve trombone), Steve Foote (bass, ukulele), Max MacVeety (drums), Sean P. Rogan (guitar, keys) Chris Sallen (tenor saxophone), and Aaron Sinclair (guitar). The band’s been through many line up changes over the years and it currently consists of David, Derek Davis (drums), Alex Stern (guitar), Ben Basile (bass), Logan La Barbera (trombone), Jonathan Degen (saxophone), Ryan O'Connor (tenor saxophone), and backing vocalists Sirae Richardson, Hayley Jane, Brianne Finn, and Erin MacKenzie. Their musical style falls under the genres ska punk (a fusion music genre that combines ska music and punk rock music), reggae, and dub (a style that grew out of reggae in the 1960s and consists predominantly of instrumental remixes of existing recordings that are created by significantly manipulating and reshaping the recordings, usually by removing the vocals from an existing music piece, and emphasizing the drum and bass parts). They’ve had a stellar career with 8 studio albums, 6 extended plays, and 13 music videos.
