DakhaBrakha, Ukraine’s sensational world music artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Brighton Music Hall!
The quartet was formed in 2004 by an avant-garde theatre director (Vladyslav Troitskyi) whose scenic effects are a trademark of their performances. The name DakhaBrakha comes from old Ukrainian language and translates to ‘give/take’. The band has had a stellar career releasing 4 albums and in 2009 it was awarded the prestigious Sergey Kuryokhin Prize in the the sphere of contemporary art. The group combines traditional Indian, Arabic, African, Russian and Australian instruments with its powerful vocal range.
