Flint Eastwood, Michigan's sensational alternative pop artist is bringing her signature sounds to the Brighton Music Hall!
Flint Eastwood is the musical project of singer and songwriter Jax Anderson. She began her musical journey in 2010 as a singer and 2 years later she formed the band Flint Eastwood. Their musical style blended electronica (an umbrella term that encompasses a broad group of electronic based styles such as techno, house, ambient, drum and bass, jungle, and industrial dance, among others) and blues rock (a fusion genre combining elements of blues and rock, characterized by bluesy improvisation, the twelve bar blues, extended boogie jams typically focused on the electric guitar player, and often a heavier, riff oriented sound). A few years later, she decided to turn Flint Eastwood into a solo project and gave it a lush sound geared more toward synth pop (a sub genre of new wave music that rose to prominence in the late 1970s and features the synthesizer as the dominant musical instrument). She released her debut extended play (Small Voices) in 2015 and it wasn't long before she got a record deal. Her debut studio album (Broke Royalty) came out in 2017 and she's also collaborated with many renowned artists including Gosh Pith, Syblyng, and Tunde Olaniran.
