Haken, England’s sensational progressive rock and metal artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Brighton Music Hall!

The band was formed in London (England) in 2007 by guitarist and keyboardist Richard Henshall and his two school friends Ross Jennings (vocals) and Matthew Marshall (guitar). They recruited keyboardist Peter Jones, drummer Raymond Hearne, and bassist Thomas MacLean to complete the line up and released their debut demo tape (Enter the 5th Dimension) in 2008. The band’s been through a few line up changes over the years and it currently consists of Ross (vocals), Richard (guitars, keyboards, and backing vocals), Raymond (drums, backing vocals, and tuba), Charles Griffiths (guitars and backing vocals), Diego Tejeida (keyboards and backing vocals), and Conner Green (bass guitar and backing vocals). Their musical style is best described as a blend of progressive rock (a broad subgenre of rock music that grew out of psychedelic bands who abandoned standard traditions in favour of instrumentation and compositional techniques more frequently associated with jazz, folk or classical music) and progressive metal (a fusion of heavy metal and progressive rock that combines the loud aggression and amplified guitar driven sound of the former with the more experimental, cerebral or pseudo classical compositions of the latter). They’ve had a stellar career with 4 studio albums, 1 extended play, and 1 demo tape.

Don't miss your chance to see these artists add a unique touch to progressive rock and progressive metal!
