Middle Kids, Australia’s sensational indie artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Brighton Music Hall!

Middle Kids was formed in Sydney (New South Wales, Australia) in 2016 and is a trio consisting of classically trained piano player Hannah Joy, multi instrumentalist Tim Fitz, and drummer Harry Day (a Jazz Performance graduate from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music). Their musical style best described as a blend of indie rock (a genre of alternative rock that originated in the United States and the United Kingdom in the 1980s, encapsulating the genres chamber pop, indie pop, lo fi, math rock, neo psychedelia, post punk revival, sadcore, and shoegaze), indie pop (a subgenre of alternative/indie rock originating in the United Kingdom in the late 1970s and differing from indie rock to the extent that it’s more melodic, less abrasive, and relatively angst free), and country pop (a blend of country music and pop music developed by artists of the former out of a desire to reach a larger, mainstream audience). Their breakthrough came when Elton John aired their debut single (Edge of Town) on his Beats 1 radio show and became a huge fan. Their popularity grew even further when they took first place at FBI Radio's Northern Lights competition and landed a spot on Iceland’s Airwaves Music Festival.

Don’t miss your chance to see these artists add a unique touch to indie pop, indie rock, and country pop music!
