Perturbator, France’s sensational electronic music artist is bringing his signature sounds to the Brighton Music Hall!
Perturbator (birth name James Kent) is an electronic music producer from Paris. His musical style is best described as a blend of synthwave (mainly instrumental electronic music - influenced by 1980s film soundtracks and video game music - often using the decade’s cliché elements such as electronic drums, gated reverb, analog synthesizer bass lines and leads, all to resemble tracks from that time period), metal, dance, and neo electro (the revival of a genre of electronic music and early hip hop directly influenced by the use of the Roland TR-808 drum machines, and funk). His music is extremely popular with metal fans and he said in an interview, “I mostly only listen to metal, actually. I do electronic music the same way I would compose a metal track, so maybe it’s that appealing factor in my music for metalheads…every time I do a show I see a bunch of people wearing battle jackets and Slayer T-shirts and stuff like that. It feels so weird to me, because they’re here to see an electronic music show.” He’s had a stellar career with 4 studio albums, 6 extended plays, 4 singles, and he’s also worked on the music of the Hotline Miami video game series.
Don't miss your chance to see this artist add a unique touch to synthwave, metal, neo electro, and dance music!
