Peter Perrett, England's sensational new wave artist is bringing his signature sounds to the Brighton Music Hall!
Peter Albert Neil Perrett was born in Camberwell (South London, England) and is a singer, songwriter, rhythm guitarist, and record producer.
Over the years, his musical style has spanned many genres such as new wave (a genre of rock music that moved away from smooth blues and rock and roll sounds to create pop music that incorporated electronic and experimental music, mod, and disco), power pop (a style that draws its inspiration from 1960s British and American rock music and typically incorporates a combination of musical devices such as strong melodies, clear vocals and crisp vocal harmonies, economical arrangements, and prominent guitar riffs), punk rock (a rock music genre - developed in the early to mid-1970s in the United States – that typically uses short or fast paced songs, with hard edged melodies and singing styles, stripped-down instrumentation, and often political, anti establishment lyrics), and indie rock. He began his musical journey in the early 70's by forming a band called England's Glory. He then formed The Only Ones and they made a name for themselves on the punk scene/new wave scene. He began his solo career in 2017 with the release of his debut album, How the West Was Won.
