PWR BTTM, New York’s sensational queer core artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Brighton Music Hall!
PWR BTTM was formed in Annandale-on-Hudson (New York) in 2013 and is a duo consisting of Liv Bruce (drums, vocals, and guitar) and Ben Hopkins (guitar, vocals, and drums). When on tour, they’re joined by Nicholas Cummins (bass guitar and backing vocals), Taliana Katz (bass guitar), Michael "Mike P" Politowicz (bass guitar), and Cameron West (French horn, keyboard, and percussion). Their musical style is best described as a blend of indie rock (a genre of alternative rock that originated in the United States and the United Kingdom in the 1980s, encapsulating the genres chamber pop, indie pop, lo fi, math rock, neo psychedelia, post punk revival, sadcore, and shoegazing), punk rock (a rock music genre - developed in the early to mid-1970s in the United States – that typically uses short or fast paced songs, with hard edged melodies and singing styles, stripped-down instrumentation, and often political, anti establishment lyrics), garage punk, and queercore (a genre characterized by lyrics exploring themes of prejudice and dealing with issues such as sexual identity, gender identity, and the rights of the individual). They’ve had a stellar career with 2 studio albums, 2 extended plays, and 6 singles.
Don't miss your chance to see the artists add a unique touch to punk rock, garage punk, indie rock, and queercore!
