Stiff Little Fingers, Northern Ireland’s sensational punk rock artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Brighton Music Hall!
Stiff Little Fingers was formed in Belfast (Northern Ireland) in 1990 by singer and guitarist Jake Burns, guitarist Henry Cluney, bassist Ali McMordie, and drummer Brian Faloon. They named themselves after a song by first wave U.K. punk band The Vibrators and they released their debut single (Suspected Device) in 1978. It sold over 30,000 copies and a year later, they followed it up with their debut album (Inflammable Material). It became the first independently released album to make it on the UK Albums chart (peaking at #14) and it sold over 100,000 copies. The band’s been through many line up changes over the years and it currently consists of Jake (lead vocals and guitar), Ali (bass), Ian McCallum (guitar), and Steve Grantley (drums). Their musical style is best described as punk rock (a rock music genre - developed in the early to mid 1970s in the United States – that typically uses short or fast paced songs, with hard edged melodies and singing styles, stripped down instrumentation, and often political, anti establishment lyrics). They’ve had a stellar career with 10 studio albums, 7 compilation albums, 17 live albums, 4 video albums, 14 singles, and 9 extended plays.
Don't miss your chance to see these artists add a unique touch to punk rock music!
