The Dustbowl Revival, California’s sensational Americana artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Brighton Music Hall!
The Dustbowl Revival was formed in 2007 by bandleader and principal songwriter Zach Lupetin. He placed an ad on Craigslist for collaborators and instrumentalists and at one point, the band had 15 members playing various horns, mandolin, banjo, accordion and clarinet. The band currently consists of Zach (guitar and vocals), Liz Beebe (vocals and ukulele), Daniel Mark (mandolin), Connor Vance (fiddle), Matt Rubin (trumpet), Ulf Bjorlin (trombone), James Klopfleisch (bass), and Joshlyn Heffernan (drums). Their musical is described as a blend of Americana (contemporary music that incorporates elements of various American roots music styles, including country, roots rock, folk, bluegrass, R&B and blues, resulting in a distinctive roots oriented sound), bluegrass (a genre that takes roots from Irish, Scottish and English traditional music, and was also later influenced by the music of African Americans through incorporation of jazz elements), indie rock (a genre of alternative rock that originated in the United States and the United Kingdom in the 1980s, encapsulating the genres chamber pop, indie pop, lo fi, math rock, neo psychedelia, post punk revival, sadcore, and shoegazing), and retro swing (a genre that takes swing and jump blues from the 1930s and 1940s and mixes it with a more contemporary rock, rockabilly or ska sound). They’ve had a stellar career with 5 studio albums.
