White Reaper, Kentucky's sensational garage punk artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Brighton Music Hall!
White Reaper was formed in Louisville in 2014 by singer/guitarist Tony Esposito and twin brothers Nick (drums) and Sam Wilkerson (bass).Their musical style is best described as a blend of indie rock (a genre of alternative rock that originated in the United States and the United Kingdom in the 1980s, encapsulating the genres chamber pop, indie pop, lo fi, math rock, neo psychedelia, post punk revival, sadcore, and shoegaze), garage punk (a genre - originating in the indie rock underground between the late 1980s and early 1990s - that combines punk rock and garage rock and draws heavily from stripped down 1970s punk rock and Detroit proto punk), and power pop (a style that draws its inspiration from 1960s British and American rock music and typically incorporates a combination of musical devices such as strong melodies, clear vocals and crisp vocal harmonies, economical arrangements, and prominent guitar riffs). They’ve had a stellar career with 2 studio albums (one of which was a top 10 hit on Billboard's Top Heatseekers Albums chart), 2 extended plays, and they've performed at 2016's Primavera Sound (an annual music festival that takes place in Spain and Portugal). They're also on the line up for 2017's Bonnaroo and Hangout festivals.
