XXYYXX, Florida's sensational electronic music artist is bringing his signature sounds to the Brighton Music Hall!

XXYYXX (birth name Marcel Everett) was born in Orlando in 1995 and is a musician and producer. He was inspired to make music after listening to chillwave artist Toro y Moi. He said in an interview, "I was fourteen and I heard Toro y Moi’s album Causes of This and I figured out it was just one guy and I was like ‘Oh shit, I’m just one guy, I could do this!’ That allowed me to listen to other kinds of electronic music and I still do listen to different kinds and it just inspires you to keep trying. I just love all types of music and doing anything musical." He also cites Lapalux, Star Slinger, Disclosure, and Shlohmo as his influences and he describes his style as down tempo (genre of electronic music similar to ambient, but with a greater emphasis on rhythm, and is not as earthy as trip hop) mixed with a little hip hop. He's had a stellar career with 2 studio albums, 3 extended plays, 1 mix tape, 4 singles, and he's collaborated with Tory Lanez and Giraffage. He's also performed at many major music events such as Shambhala Festival, Beach Goth, Mysteryland, and Ancient Future.

Don’t miss your chance to see this artist add a unique touch to electronic music!
